German Society of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (DGHNO-KHC)

Founded in 1921, the German Society of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (DGHNO-KHC), represents more than 5,000 OHNS physicians and researchers working in hospitals, private practices, and academic institutions. As Germany’s central scientific professional society in this field, the DGHNO-KHC is dedicated to promoting excellence in research, education, and patient care, with the shared goal of continuously improving the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the ear, nose, throat, and the head and neck region.

Through its annual scientific congress—one of the leading forums for otorhinolaryngology in the German-speaking countries—the Society facilitates the exchange of the latest research findings, innovative treatment approaches, and emerging technologies. For several years, the congress has included an English-language stream for international participants. 

As a recognized and respected professional society, the DGHNO-KHC actively contributes to health policy discussions, advocates for high standards of care, and supports equitable access to specialized OHNS services.
