EAACI ENT Section

The European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) is a non-profit association of clinicians, researchers, and allied health professionals, dedicated to improving the health of people affected by allergic diseases. EAACI is the primary source of expertise in Europe for all aspects of allergy. With more than 16,000 members from 125 countries and over 50 National Allergy Societies, our mission is to provide the best platform for science and education for allergy, asthma, and clinical immunology, connecting experts worldwide.

The ENT section of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) represents the care and research provided where the fields of ENT, allergology, and clinical immunology overlap. As such, the ENT section is active in education, research, position papers from taskforces, and the organization of congresses for EAACI, such as the RHINA congress. The ENT section is led by the ENT section board (see image).

Common pathologies include allergic and non-allergic rhinitis, and chronic rhinosinusitis (including type-2 / with nasal polyps). For these topics, the ENT section provides updates from research findings to clinical guidelines. Given the often-multidisciplinary approaches in these conditions, the ENT section ensures that the voice of the ENT-surgeon is heard, also with respect to management and surgical options.
