CEORL-HNS at IFOS 2026, Istanbul

The XXIII IFOS World Congress was held in Istanbul, Türkiye, from 9-13 September 2026, bringing together thousands of otorhinolaryngologists, researchers and allied healthcare professionals from across the world. The congress was hosted at the Istanbul Congress Center and the Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus Convention Centre, providing an impressive venue for one of the largest international gatherings in ENT.

The scientific programme was remarkable with more than 50 parallel scientific tracks covering all subspecialties of otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery, delegates were offered an extensive selection of keynote lectures, round table discussions, panels and instructional courses. Topics ranged from otology and neurotology to rhinology, head and neck surgery, laryngology, paediatric ENT, hearing implants, vertigo and global health initiatives.

CEORL-HNS was strongly represented throughout the congress. Numerous members contributed as keynote speakers, invited faculty, moderators and panellists, reflecting the leading role of European ORL-HNS within the international community. CEORL participation was particularly visible in round table discussions and educational sessions, where experts from across Europe shared experience, discussed current challenges and explored future developments within our specialty.

Beyond the scientific programme, the congress provided valuable opportunities for networking and strengthening international collaborations. Informal meetings between colleagues from different regions of the world generated new ideas for education, research and professional exchange. Such interactions remain one of the great strengths of the IFOS World Congress.

The gala dinner was a particular social highlight, bringing together colleagues and friends from around the world in a memorable beautiful setting and further strengthening the sense of community within the global ENT family.

Overall, IFOS 2026 was successful congress, combining scientific excellence, international collaboration and friendship across borders. CEORL-HNS is proud to have contributed significantly to the programme and looks forward to continuing its close collaboration with IFOS in advancing ORL-HNS worldwide.
